For the current Kontakt-based ASamplesX libraries, use the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt required by that individual product.

Do not assume Kontakt Player support unless the product page explicitly says so. Minimum versions differ between products, so check the page for the library you own.

1. Download and extract the library.
2. Keep its complete folder structure together, in a permanent location.
3. Open the full version of Kontakt.
4. Use Kontakt's Files browser to locate the library folder.
5. Load an instrument or a Multi from the appropriate folder.

For Khaliji — Drums of Arabia, load the Multi that matches the groove folder before playing the MIDI file. The groove is arranged for that kit, so using the wrong Multi can produce incorrect instruments or mappings.

An Instrument is an individual sampled percussion instrument. A Multi loads a complete kit made from several instruments. Khaliji MIDI grooves are designed around matching Multis.

No. The source material is culturally grounded, but the tools are intended for modern creative work as well — traditional arrangements, film and game scores, pop, electronic music, orchestral work and cross-cultural productions.

Khaliji — Drums of Arabia was designed around a natural recording philosophy, with little or no processing applied to the original samples, so you can shape the sound yourself.

The current Khaliji — Drums of Arabia and Loops of Arabia product pages specify 24-bit / 48 kHz audio. Check the individual product page for product-specific details.

Yes. Product pages include audio and video demonstrations wherever available. Review the demos and the technical requirements before purchase.

Store the complete library folder in a permanent location on an internal or external drive. Do not separate the Instruments, Multis, samples or supporting folders from each other.

Open Kontakt, go to the Files browser and locate the Khaliji folder. Then:

• Khaliji → Instruments → an individual instrument
• Khaliji → Multis → a complete kit

Yes, but Kontakt may need to be pointed at the new location. The safest workflow is to choose the permanent storage location before beginning projects.

Yes. Both the legacy manual and the current official product page describe the full version of Kontakt as required.

The current official product page specifies Kontakt 6.6.1 or higher.

The official ASamplesX pages state that the full version is required for the Kontakt libraries covered here. Kontakt Player is not supported unless a specific current product page explicitly states otherwise.

The library focuses mainly on percussion from the Arabian Gulf, Iraq and Yemen, with selected percussion from other parts of the world added to expand the combinations available to composers.

Yes. Create custom Multis by loading individual instruments together, setting them to the same MIDI channel and remapping keys in Kontakt where needed.

Yes. The manual explicitly describes changing instruments or instrument versions and mixing the rhythm section to suit the production.

Multis combine multiple percussion instruments into a playable kit. In Khaliji — Drums of Arabia the included MIDI grooves are arranged for corresponding Multis, so the matching Multi should be loaded to hear a groove correctly.

1. Open the Grooves MIDI Files folder and choose the folder for the appropriate kit / Multi.
2. Load the matching Multi in Kontakt.
3. Drag the chosen MIDI file into your DAW or onto the Kontakt instance.
4. Set the project tempo and meter according to the groove information where required.

Yes. Because the grooves are MIDI, you can change tempo, mute parts, replace instruments, edit notes and reshape the arrangement in your DAW.

Yes. The Khaliji MIDI grooves can be edited in your DAW, including tempo and instrumentation. Some traditional Gulf grooves have a specific swing feel, so standard grid quantization may not reproduce the intended feel.

Many Gulf rhythms rely on a characteristic swing or timing feel that is not represented by a standard straight grid. Applying ordinary quantize can remove the feel that makes the rhythm work.

The manual describes importing the supplied groove timing into Cubase Pro or Logic Pro X to create custom groove-quantize presets that preserve the intended swing.

It is a collection of MIDI groove-quantize templates designed to reproduce the timing and swing of Gulf rhythms that standard DAW quantize grids do not capture well.

The current official product page lists 50 quantize grooves across styles such as Hewa, Emarati, Khbaiti, Bara'a, Bandari and Atbah, among others.

The current official product page says it is compatible with major DAWs and specifically names Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools and Studio One.

No. The MIDI grooves are actual rhythm performances and arrangements. The Quantize Pack provides timing templates that can be applied to your own MIDI parts so they follow characteristic regional swing patterns.

That is the intended use: import or create the groove template in your DAW, then apply that timing feel to your own MIDI performance. Exact import steps vary by DAW.

Loops of Arabia is a Kontakt-based multi-track loop instrument focused on styles from across the Arabian Peninsula and neighbouring regional traditions, including material associated with Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq and Yemen.

The current official pages for Vol.1 and Vol.2 each advertise more than 60 styles.

Yes. The current product description states that the selected style automatically syncs to the project, allowing you to trigger variations from the keyboard.

The product is built from real multi-track loops. The current pages advertise stereo and multi-output versions, so you can work with the full mix or take more control over individual layers.

They are separate libraries with different musical content. Both use the same broad multi-track / mixer concept, but each volume has its own style list, demos and Kontakt requirement.

No. ASamplesX material may not be republished, sold, rented, sublicensed, reproduced or copied outside the permitted use. See the Terms of Service for the full licence.

Check whether you are using the full version of Kontakt required by that product, and whether your Kontakt version meets the product's minimum. Do not rely on Kontakt Player for products whose official page says the full version is required.

Update Kontakt to at least the minimum version listed for that product. Different ASamplesX libraries have different minimum versions, so check the individual product page rather than assuming one version works for the entire catalogue.

Load the Multi that matches the groove folder. Khaliji grooves are mapped to specific kit layouts, so a different Multi can trigger the wrong instruments.

Undo the straight quantize. Many Khaliji grooves use a swing or timing that does not align to a standard DAW grid. Use the supplied groove quantize, or the KHALIJI Grooves Quantize Pack where appropriate.

Check the BPM and meter information associated with the groove and make sure the DAW project is set accordingly. Some styles use meters or swing relationships that do not behave as expected under a generic 4/4 straight grid.

Check MIDI channel routing, key mapping, instrument mute / volume controls and Kontakt outputs. For custom Multis, the manual instructs setting the instruments to MIDI Channel 1 and remapping keys where necessary.

Use the product's built-in mixing controls rather than assuming the samples are defective. Khaliji Core includes EQ, transient shaping, pitch and volume controls; Loops of Arabia includes per-layer mixer controls and master processing.

These libraries load through Kontakt's Files browser rather than appearing automatically in the Libraries tab. Open Kontakt, go to Files, navigate to the folder where you saved the library, and load an instrument or Multi from there.
